Ho Min San 好面善 @ Gurney Plaza, Penang

Ho Min San (好面善) is a subsidiary of Dragon-I (龙的传人) that specializes in fusion of Asian cuisine. You can now find the restaurant on the lower ground floor of Gurney Plaza. The restaurant is designed in a minimalist design with a bright and airy dining area. However, the restaurant space is quite limited. As its name implies, noodles dishes take center stage in Ho Min Shan’s menu with a wide variety of options for Cantonese-style rice vermicelli (米线).

BBQ Bar 串越時光 @ Karpal Singh, Penang

Icon City's famous BBQ restaurant has finally reached Penang Island. The restaurant is designed with the theme of Sanoriti, the Greek Island of Love. The restaurant is designed with blue and white, accompanied by a few cave-designed dining spaces. While the outside of the restaurant faces the sea, it is very comfortable and enjoyable to eat barbecue with the sea breeze.

Xiao Man Dumpling & Noodle 小嫚饺子馆 @ Alor Setar, Kedah

Located at Jalan Kuala Kedah, right beside Black Whale Milk Tea, Xiao Man Dumpling & Noodle 小嫚饺子馆 is a restaurant that specialised in dumplings and noodles. Apart from that, Xiao Man Dumpling & Noodles also serve a wide variety of Taiwan local foods and snacks, such as Taiwanese Egg Rolls, Scallion Pancake, Gua Pao, Hsinchu Fried Rice Vermicelli, Taiwanese Shaved Ice, Milk Tea and so on. With its wide variety of choices, I thought it would be a great spot for me to satisfy my craving for Taiwanese foods at first, however, it disappointed us during our first visit. In spite of that, I decided to try it again so that I can make a more fair food review for its foods.

RUTIN 樂田 - 中西料理 @ Sentral Jaya, Bukit Mertajam, Penang [GPS] [Menu]

Founded in 2019, Rutin (樂田 - 中西料理) is one of the restaurants that serve Asian and Western dishes located at Sentral Jaya, Bukit Mertajam, Penang. The restaurant is designed with a modern setting, wooden cabinet, black marble tables, and leather-comfortable chairs... fully air-conditioned. Menu-wise, the restaurant features a variety of Asian and Western dishes that make it perfectly suited to the whole family members.

Handmade Dim Sum at Night @ Simpang Kuala, Alor Setar [GPS]

Dim Sum is the dish that prepared in the small bite-sized and served in the small bamboo steamer or basket. It can be found easily in the Chinese district because it's one of the favourite food for the Chinese. People will usually have it in the morning as breakfast. Although there is not a lack of Dim Sum restaurant in Alor Setar, but this is the only spot that Alor Setarian can have Dim Sum at night. This would be the perfect spot to satisfy those who are craving for Dim Sum but not able to have it in the busy morning.

[Revisit] Chan Kee Restaurant 赞记粥饭面家 @ Alor Setar [GPS]

Located at opposite night market Jalan Putra, the same row with the well-known stir-fried fish restaurant - Chin Venlin, Chan Kee is the Hong Kong-style roasted meat restaurant that opened in Alor Setar a year ago. The main selling point of Chan Kee is it provides the choices of noodles or rice for the diners because it's the only restaurant that serves noodles with roasted meat in Alor Setar. During my first visit, I thought that the foods here do not suit my liking because those foods are just normal and taste lighter... do not worth a shoutout. Nevertheless, during my visit recently, I found the foods here have much improved.

Chok Dee Dim Sum (Bak Kut Teh) @ Hat Yai, Thailand [GPS]

Hailed by many as one of the best Dim Sum in Hat Yai, Chok Dee Dim Sum is usually packed with tourists, locals, and foodies, especially during the weekend and holidays. You can always see it's crowded in front of the store, and you will be given a reservation number before you get your seat and order your food. The main highlight of Chok Dee is its wallet-friendly prices, which only cost you 20 baht for each basket of dim sum. In addition, all the dim sum here is steam on the spot after you pick your foods from the counter bar.

[Revisit] PUTIEN 莆田 @ Gurney Pargaon, Penang [GPS]

PUTIEN is the brand that started out in Singapore since the year 2000 and it has almost 50 branches in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan today. In the gene of foodies, trying out the new restaurant is always the must and they might not revisit again especially for the "luxury-pricey" foods, as like the One Michelin Star restaurant - PUTIEN. Nevertheless, the reason for me to revisit is that there are still many foods that I've never tried yet on my first visit during its grand opening in April 2018.

莆田是于2000年开始在新加坡成立的品牌，如今在新加坡，马来西亚，印度尼西亚，中国大陆，香港和台湾地区拥有近50个分行。 对于每位吃货，尝试新餐厅总是是必须的，此外，通常他们都可能不会再访问同一间餐厅，特别是对于那些“豪华且昂贵”的餐厅，例如像米其林一星级餐厅的莆田。但是，促使我再次访问的原因是，在2018年4月餐厅开幕时，我第一次到访的时候，任然还有许多食物我还未尝试过。

Haidilao 海底捞 @ Gurney Paragon, Penang [GPS]

Haidilao (海底捞) has officially opened its doors in the Northern Region, Malaysia. It's now located on the 4th Floor of Gurney Paragon, Penang. Albeit I'd tried it in Singapore once before but I would still like to try it once again... not only for its foods but also the service. The customers can enjoy the free-flow snacks, popcorn, fresh fruits, ice-cream, coffee and even free manicure service while waiting for their turn.

海底捞终于在北马（Gurney Paragon 4楼）开始营业啦！虽然我之前曾在新加坡尝试过一次，但我仍然想再次尝试一下… 不仅是因为它的食物而且还有其服务。 顾客可以在等候期间享受无限量，免费的小吃，爆米花，新鲜水果，冰淇淋和咖啡，甚至还有免费修指甲服务。

Eupe Food Court Curry Mee @ Sungai Petani [GPS]

Eupe Food Court Curry Mee is the curry mee that needs no further introduction because it's the famous curry noodles spot in Sungai Petani. Although the queue is insanely long all the time but it still has been receiving positive responses from the neighborhood, as well as attracting the tourists to visit here because of its delectable curry mee. 

Eupe美食广场的咖喱面是一个无需再多做介绍的咖喱面，因为它在双溪大年非常著名。虽然档口前何时都是大排长龙，但是由于其美味的咖喱面，它仍然得到当地人的积极回应，并吸引了许多游客的光顾。

Muslim-Friendly Canning Dim Sum Express @ D'Piazza Mall, Bayan Lepas, Penang [GPS]

Canning Dim Sum is a dim sum spot that needs no further introduction because it is the well-known dim sum spot in Ipoh with its delectable pork-free dim sum. For Penangites that are bored of visiting the same restaurant again and again, here's a piece of great news for you because Canning Dim Sum has expanded and situated at D'Piazza Mall now. Diners can expect to enjoy the freshest dim sum here because all the dim sum are steam and fried on spot after ordered.

Canning Dim Sum 店是一间不需要过多介绍的餐厅，因为它是怡保一间以无猪肉点心而闻名的餐厅。对于那些厌倦反复光临同一家餐厅的槟城人来说，这是一个非常好的好消息，因为Canning Dim Sum现已扩展至槟城，并于D'Piazza Mall开始营业。 用餐者可以在这里享用到最新鲜的点心，因为所有的点心都是在点餐完后现蒸与现炸的。

Yut Kee Restaurant 镒记 @ Jalan Kamunting, Kuala Lumpur [GPS]

Founded in 1928, Yut Kee has served at least four generations of KL-ians. It is a restaurant that needs no further introduction because it is one of the oldest and famous kopitiam that serves the nostalgia of old-time Chinese comfort food in Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant is highly renowned for its Roasted Pork Roll, Hainanese Chicken Chop, Roti Babi, Hailam Mee, Signature Marble Cake and more. Yut Kee does not only serve its customers with lunch but also breakfast as well, and it's mostly peaked especially during lunch hour and weekend.

镒记成立于1928年，至少服务过四代的吉隆坡人。 它是一家不需要进一步介绍的餐厅，因为它是吉隆坡最古老和最着名的茶餐厅之一。 镒记以其烧肉片，海南鸡扒，Roti Babi，海南面，招牌大理石蛋糕等而闻名。镒记不仅为客户提供午餐，还提供早餐，特别是在午餐时段和周末时，店内店外都挤满了不少的顾客。

Lai Foong Lala Noodles & Beef Noodle Soup 吉隆坡驰名啦啦米粉 @ Kuala Lumpur [GPS]

To be honest, you might not feel like enter Lai Foong coffee shop at first sight because it is an old school coffee shop with not much ambience to mention about and you would even need to share the table, particularly during the peak hours. Albeit there are many stalls available in the coffee shop but we purposely here for the famous Lala (Clam) Rice Vermicelli and Beef Noodle Soup.

说实话，当你第一眼看见丽丰茶餐室时，你不会想进入的，因为这是一个气氛不是很好的老式咖啡店，你甚至还需要与其他人一起分享餐桌，特别是在高峰时段。 虽然咖啡馆里有很多摊位，但我们是专程来这里吃着名的啦啦（蛤）米粉和牛肉面的。

Dede Moda Restaurant @ Alor Setar, Kedah [GPS]

Although Hong Kong foods are not something new in Malaysia but the love of Malaysians for Hong Kong foods are still increasing and there are more and more Hong Kong style restaurants opened in Malaysia. Nevertheless, in Alor Setar, there are only 2 Hong Kong Style Restaurants and Dede Moda （潮）Restaurant is one of the two. To suit the theme, the restaurant's interior is designed with the bold Hong Kong old-school elements...  it exudes nice rustic vibes as you can see from the old wall posters and traditional cutlery.

虽然香港美食对于马来西亚人并不是新事物，但他们对香港美食的热爱仍在增加，香港餐厅也开得越来越多。 然而，在亚罗士打，只有2家港式餐厅，而Dede Moda（潮）餐厅则是其中之一。 为了符合其主题，餐厅的室内设计采用了大胆的香港老派元素... 从古老的墙壁海报和传统餐具中散发着质朴的氛围。

Chao Xuan (潮轩) @ Lebuh Melayu, Penang [GPS]

Housed in an old heritage house at Lebuh Melayu in Penang, Chao Xuan (潮轩) is a Chinese restaurant that specialises in Teo Chew delights. Albeit Penang has many Chinese restaurants in town but Teo Chew delights or snacks seems to be scarce as compared to other Chinese foods. Chao Xuan has the strong element of Chinese traditional design... the entrance is made by the traditional Chinese red wooden door, while the interior is stuffed with the wooden furniture and some traditional Chinese decors.

潮轩坐落在一座古老的遗产屋内, 是位于槟城Lebuh Melayu一家专门提供潮州美食的中餐厅。虽然槟城有许多中餐厅，但与其他中餐厅相比，潮州美食或小吃似乎很少。潮轩具有强大的中国传统设计元素... 入口由传统的中国红木门制成，内部则由木制家具和一些传统的中国饰品装饰而成。

我好饿106 @ Pasar Taman Berjaya, Alor Setar, Kedah [GPS]

Dai Loke Mian (大碌面) literally means the big fat noodles, its springy texture making it irresistible for the noodles lovers. However, it's not easy to get it in Alor Setar as there are not many restaurants selling it. If you are a fan of Dai Loke Mian, you may visit this place to satisfy your craving for it. Albeit 我好饿106 has no actual location on the map but it is quite easy to be here because it's housed in the corner coffee shop of the wet market at Taman Berjaya, Alor Setar, Kedah.

大碌面是一种粗面条，它弹性的质地使面条爱好者不可抗拒。 然而，在亚罗士打并不容易找到，因为不是很多餐厅有卖。 如果你是大碌面的粉丝，这个地方能够满足你对大碌面的渴望。 虽然我好饿106在地图上没有实际位置，但很容易找到，因为它位于吉打亚罗士打成功园市场角落的咖啡店里。

Dragon Dynasty Restaurant 龙朝冷气海鲜餐厅 @ Kuah, Langkawi [GPS]

Dragon Dynasty Restaurant is the Chinese halal seafood restaurant that has been running for more than at least a decade in Langkawi. Albeit it isn't housed at the tourist spot but it can still be easily found as it's just located in the main town of Langkawi, Kuah, and it's only approximately 4km far from the Jetty Point, Kuah. Like most seafood restaurants, Dragon Dynasty Restaurant is an air-conditioned restaurant that offers a pretty standard seafood option, along with some commonly seen Chinese home-style dishes. This is the restaurant that I (my family) will definitely visit whenever we are in Langkawi since I was a kid. There are some dishes that I personally feel that they are the best in the restaurant and we will certainly order every time.

龙朝冷气海鲜餐厅是一家海鲜餐厅，在兰卡威已经运营了至少十年。 尽管它不在旅游景点，但它仍然很容易找到，因为它位于兰卡威的主要城镇，Kuah，距离Kuah Jetty Point只有大约4公里。 与大多数海鲜餐厅一样，龙朝冷气海鲜餐厅提供标准的海鲜选择以及一些常见的家常菜。 这是我（我的家人）从我小时候到兰卡威时肯定会去的餐厅。 有些菜肴我个人觉得它们是餐厅里最好吃的，是我们一定会点的。

Orkid Ria Restaurant 真浪花园海鲜餐馆 @ Pantai Cenang, Langkawi [GPS]

Pantai Cenang is the famous tourist spot in Langkawi. Apart from the beautiful beach and gorgeous scenes, there are also many delectable restaurants and foods here. Orkid Ria Restaurant is one of a famous seafood restaurant situated along the main road of Jalan Pantai Cenang, you can tell that from the crowd at the restaurant... it's always fully packed once it starts operating. You can easily spot Orkid Ria Restaurant as it has an attractive signboard in front of the restaurant with plenty of Chinese lanterns and hanging filament lightbulbs.

San Restaurant (杉海鲜茶餐室) @ Kuah, Langkawi [GPS]

San Restaurant (杉海鲜茶餐室) is one of a local restaurant in Langkawi. You can easily locate it after 10 minutes driving from Jetty Point, Kuah. The restaurant is just set beside of the bursting Jalan Padang Matsirat, Kuah. Although without any outstanding interior design and ambiance, it still has been receiving positive responses from the neighborhood, as well as the tourists because of its wallet-friendly yet delectable foods. 

杉海鲜茶餐室是兰卡威的当地餐厅之一。从Kuah的Jetty Point开车10分钟后，你就可以轻易的找到它了。它就坐落在Jalan Padang Matsirat的旁边。虽然没有任何出色的室内设计和氛围，但它仍然得到了本地人和游客的积极响应，因为价格便宜而食物也很美味。

Cakes That Sold Out In 1 Hour - Luodong 羅東 @ Sungai Petani [GPS]

Luodong (羅東) has been taking social media channels by storm despite of its rather hidden location. Though it does not has the flashy outlook that would lure you in but once you are inside, you would be amazed by the various choices of homemade cakes at the cake counter. The name Luo Dong is actually the name of a place in Taiwan, Luodong Township and the reason the shop called "Luo Dong" is because it named after the hometown of the owner/pastry chef.

罗东虽然处于相当隐蔽的位置，但持续在社交媒体上掀起风潮。 虽然没有引人入胜的华丽外观但是一旦你进去，你会惊讶于蛋糕柜台上的各种自制蛋糕选择。 罗东这个名字实际上是台湾罗东镇一个地方的名字，之所以称之为“罗东”，是因为它以店主/糕点师的家乡命名。
