Founded in 2019, Rutin (樂田 - 中西料理) is one of the restaurants that serve Asian and Western dishes located at Sentral Jaya, Bukit Mertajam, Penang. The restaurant is designed with a modern setting, wooden cabinet, black marble tables, and leather-comfortable chairs... fully air-conditioned. Menu-wise, the restaurant features a variety of Asian and Western dishes that make it perfectly suited to the whole family members.

Once you stepped inside the restaurant, you can found that almost every table will order their signature Fish Noodles Soup. The Fish Noodles Soup is served in the white-large bowl that cook on the fire like the mini hotpot. Diners can choose either the Sour & Spicy Soup or Superior Milky Fish Soup as the base. We picked the Superior Milky Fish Soup with Fried Fish (RM 16.70) and add on Pork Ball (RM 3.30) during our visit. The soup we ordered has a creamier texture and taste slightly saltiness with a hint of yam. Please do note that the Fish Noodles Soup comes with the rice vermicelli and a small plate of deep-fried beancurd. The portion of the Fish Noodles Soup could fit two small eaters.

Equally worth-trying is their homemade snacks, such as Traditional Pork Roll, Crispy Shrimp Cake, Crispy Fu Chuk (Crispy Beancurd Skin), and Braised Chicken Feets. For the Deep-Fried Yam (RM 6.80) we ordered, it's crispy outside and moist inside. It tastes even better to eat together with the Fish Noodles Soup we ordered.

Apart from that, Rutin also offers the Tea Time Value Set for the diner that would like to grab a light meal. The diner can choose the set meal from their homemade toast to the burger, sandwich, and pizza. The Grilled BBQ Chicken (RM 16.90) we ordered is delectable as well. There's also a free beverage that comes along with the values set.
Overall, the price at Rutin is on the steeper side but undoubtedly the portion serving here is relatively large and tastes good.
