The return of the food blogger... Haha! It's like finally, a new post after 4 months due to a lot of issues, study, exam, last semester, Covid19, and also Movement Control Order (MCO). Back to the topic, I was so surprised and excited that I found this in Summer Dessert Bakery, Alor Setar during MCO. I've been waiting so long for its arrival since the first time I saw it on the Summer Dessert Bakery Facebook official account. It's not anything new in Summer Dessert Bakery but I'm not sure the reason why it's not introducing in Alor Setar's store.

Mercato Finally Open Its Door in Penang @ Gurney Plaza, Penang [GPS]

Premium grocery store, Mercato has finally opened its 3rd outlet in Penang after Kuala Lumpur. It's now located at LG Floor, Gurney Plaza (used to be Cold Storage). The store has a darker ambiance now. It's designed with the theme of black and red brick wall with wooden shelves. You should check this new supermarket out because it's quite different and unique as compared to the other supermarkets in Penang.

Summer Dessert Bakery which is a Penang based bakery had finally opened its first in Alor Setar today (01 October 2019), which named Summer Dessert Bakery Cafe. What I like about this Summer Dessert Bakery Cafe is that it’s the one-stop cafe where you could get almost anything from freshly baked bread to cake, sandwich, pastry, dessert, pie, coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner under one roof. It's also one of my favourite bakeries in Penang because of its wide variety of choices and its strategic location.

One of the healthiest old-fashioned bakery in Penang - Continental Bakery @ Nagore Square [GPS]

Baked goods are a comfort anytime, no matter it’s for breakfast, lunch, tea or dinner. When you feel the need for a carb fix, you should visit Penang because there are numerous of great bakery and pastry shops available here. One of the oldest and famous bakery shops is Continental Bakery which located at Nagore Square. Although without an elegant and fancy external and interior design, it still has a great competitive advantage in the market.
