Fried Chicken Master @ C-Mart, Alor Setar [GPS]

Fried Chicken Master is Taiwan's leading Halal fried chicken chain that specialised in Taiwanese local flavour fried chicken. Mostly you can easily find Fried Chicken Master near to Xing Fu Tang bubble milk tea because both brands are under the same company and it's finally available in Alor Setar after the grand opening in Penang. Located at C-Mart Alor Setar, Fried Chicken Master shares the same store with Xing Fu Tang bubble milk tea... it has a few comfortable seating that enables the diner to enjoy the fried chicken while getting a cup of bubble milk tea.

Given that the market already has plenty of eateries selling reasonably Taiwanese fried chicken, such as Shihlin’s XXL Crispy Chicken and Squid Boy, Fried Chicken Master has a larger choice. Apart from the Taiwan Fried Chicken Steak, Fried Chicken Master even serves the fried chicken like KFC and McDonald's, Jimbo Bites, Bento and snacks.

We bought ourselves the Signature Chicken Steak and Jimbo Bites in the set that comes along with the Golden Fries and Wintermelon Tea. For the Fried Chicken Steak, the diner may choose to pick the flavour of Salt & Pepper or Spicy. The Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Breast Steak we ordered was crispy outside and tender inside. Nevertheless, it did not impress us because it was just because it is relatively light in taste.

While for the Jimbo Bites, we ordered the Salted Egg flavour instead of Original, Salt & Pepper and Spicy Sze Chuan flavour because we already get the Salt & Pepper flavour for the Fried Chicken Steak. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectation because it's relatively light in taste... the flavour of the salted egg was just a little.

Taste: 6.5 (1 bad → 10 good)

Interesting to note, Fried Chicken Master serves the Wintermelon Tea, Kumquat & Lemon, Plum Coke, and coffee instead of the soft drinks that we can find it anywhere else. Unfortunately, the waiting time was slow because the fried chicken here made as per order.
