Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant (云海山日本料理) @ Pantai Tengah, Langkawi [GPS]

Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant (云海山日本料理) is a family Japanese restaurant opened by Chef Katsuji Takebayash. The restaurant is located at Pantai Tengah but a bit away from the main locality. Nevertheless, it's still famous among the tourists and locals as it has been rated as the best Japanese restaurant in Malaysia by Malaysia Tatler.

云海山日本料理是由Katsuji Takebayash厨师开设的家庭日本料理餐厅。 餐厅位于Pantai Tengah，但距离主要地区有点远。 尽管如此，它仍然以游客和当地人而闻名，因为它被马来西亚Tatler评为马来西亚最好的日本餐厅。

The interior of Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant has a really authentic and traditional Japanese vibe to it. The diners can either choose to dine in the air-conditioned area on the ground floor, open-air garden terrace or the traditional “tatami” seats on the 1st floor. We choose to be seated in the comfortable air-conditioned area on the ground floor. Once we were seated, we were provided with an icy towel.

云海山日本料理的内部拥有传统的日式氛围。 客人可以选择在底楼的空调区，露天花园露台或一楼的传统“榻榻米”座位上用餐。 我们选择坐在一楼舒适的空调区。 我们坐下后，服务员就递给我们没人一条冰凉的毛巾。

We are purposely come here to try their signature Charcoal Grilled Kobe Beef. The Kobe Beef is served on a small charcoal grill right on your table. Without much seasoning, the Kobe Beef is only lightly seasoned with black pepper. I thought the meat tastes quite nice with the charcoal flavour but the texture is rather tough.

我们专程来这里尝试他们的招牌炭火烤神户牛肉。 神户牛肉会在在桌子上的小木炭烤架上烤着。 神户牛肉没有过多的调料，只是用少许的黑胡椒调味。 我认为肉的味道不错，但质地相对比较坚韧。

Charcoal Grilled Kobe Beef

Besides that, I also ordered my favourite Cold Soba (Buck Wheat Noodles). The portion is quite big as compared to those I usually had. Although this dish looks simple, but I personally like this dish because the noodles have a pleasantly dense texture.

除此之外，我还点了我最喜欢的冷荞麦面。 与我通常吃的相比，这里的分量教大。 虽然这道菜看起来很简单，但我个人喜欢这道菜因为面条质地宜人。

Unagi Kabayaki Set

Unagi Kabayaki Set (Grilled Water Eel), I never really complain about any Unagi because the taste is not much difference unless the fish is not fresh or it doesn't worth the money. At Unkaizan, the fish is quite juicy, tender and the sauce is just simply delightful.

Aside from the a-la-carte choices, Unkaizan also serves the bento set, sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, noodles and more. Price-wise, it's quite high as it's a 5-star restaurant that serves the high standard of food quality. 

Unagi Kabayaki Set，我从来没有怎么抱怨任何鳗鱼料理，因为这个料理的味道差别不大，除非鱼不新鲜或不值我所付的钱。 在云海山的鳗鱼非常多汁，柔软，酱汁也令人很满意。

除了单点菜肴外，云海山还供应便当套餐，生鱼片，寿司，铁板烧，面条等。 价格方面，它是相对较高，因为它是一个提供高标准食品质量的五星级餐厅。
