Smiling Buffalo Cafe is a hidden gem, among the lush greeneries and serene environment. It's a jungle-like rustic laid-back cafe located at Panji Panji Boutique Resort at Kuala Cenang; tucked away from the bursting main streets and tourist spots... it would be quite difficult to find for the non-locals. Albeit it's quite near to the hustle Cenang Beach, but both places have totally the different ambiance. At here, you can literally hear the birds with the soft breeze on your face, and the smell of fresh air, soil, and greens. For the city dweller like me, I'm really fascinated by this peacefulness and relaxed vibe brought by mother nature. Hence, I'll definitely pay a visit during my holiday in Langkawi. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that it's the best restaurant in town.

Menu-wise, Smiling Buffalo offers a range of Western dishes with a touch of Malaysian local cuisine. Their homemade sausages and bread are the main points that enticing me to keep visiting besides of its fabulous ambiance.

Poached Eggs
Poached Eggs is the dish that I'll definitely order at Smiling Buffalo. At here, Poached Eggs is referring to Shakshuka, a combination of tomatoes, onions, spices, sausages, and poached eggs. You can either choose the beef or chicken sausage on your preference. The sauce is mind-blowingly good with the perfect combination of sweetness and sourness with a slightly spicy kick. It's extra satisfying when you eat along with the toast. Although my parent does not in dote on the western dish, but they love it too.

Apart from that, there are also other many simply mouthwatering dishes provided here, such as Streaky Sandwich, Big Breakfast, Waffle and Pancake. Also not forget to try their handcrafted coffee as well to kickstart your morning... the coffee beans using here is Ethiopia coffee beans, which the one I love due to its high acidity and bright-fruited flavors.
