The Korean way of pairing Fried Chicken and Beer (Chimac) has stormed the world, and Penang once again welcomes a new Korean fried chicken brand after KyoChon. Located on the 3rd floor of Queensbay Mall, which is opposite GSC Cinema, Busan Chicken is a brand that specializes in Korean fried chicken. Although there has no variety of dishes to choose from like in other Korean restaurants, the fried chicken here is very authentic. The downside of Busan Chicken is that there are no seats for customers to dine in, so customers can only be forced to choose takeaway or delivery. Other than that, the fried chickens here are not cooked to order, so it is slightly cold when served.

At Busan Chicken, you may choose classic fried chicken, bone chicken, or boneless chicken in 3 different flavors, which are Sweet & Spicy, Soy & Garlic, or fried. I like the Korean fried chicken here because the Korean rice cakes (Tteokbokki) are fried along with the fried chicken. The sauces are well immersed into the Tteokbokki. Albeit the fried chicken are slightly cold, but, surprisingly it didn't affect its crispness. It's still flavourful and crispy. Flavour-wise, I prefer Soy & Garlic rather than Sweet & Spicy because the Sweet & Spicy sauce is too thick, so it would be too greasy to finish the whole bowl of the fried chicken.
