Housed in the colorful building, Pekan Buah, Alor Setar, Atas Cafe is a relative newcomer withinside the neighborhood gelato scene. The cafe is facing the parking lot behind Balai Seni Alor Setar. It's on the second floor, so you will need to traipse up the steps to reach it. The design of the cafe is unique yet comfy. You can simply get a beautiful and instagrammable photo at every corner here.
This gelateria serves a variety of creative gelato flavors that you may probably find. Such as Blueberry Cheesecake, Hojicha, Black Sesame, Chocolate, Matcha, and so on. During my visit, I wanted to have a black sesame ice cream but unfortunately, it was out of stock. Thus, we went for the Blueberry Cheesecake and Hojicha. Both the gelato was not that bad but a tad too sweet for me, although I'm a sweet tooth lover.

On the other hand, coffee lovers can have a sip on their coffee too. Besides the common Long Black, Latte, Cappuccino, you can go for their specials, like White Affigato, Black Affogato, Latte Affogato, and so on. Originally we wanted to order the latte which we saw on the social media with black sesame ice cream, but as mentioned above, the black sesame ice cream was out of stock, so we simply ordered a cup of black coffee.
Even though the space seems quite limited here, the seat turnover is quite fast because there is only coffee and gelato can be consumed in the cafe. Generally, it wouldn't take much time for each table. Nonetheless, it might be a drawback for the cafe, because if you're looking for something to fill up your tummy, you might need to get to another cafe or restaurant.
