Corn Dog is one of the famous street foods in Korea. It isn't the sausage wrapped with only the batter that we usually find in the market. The authentic Korean Corn Dog often stuffed with other ingredients more than just a sausage. Such as Mozarella Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, and Tteokbokki. Apart from that, the sausage will generally be covered with the batter, breadcrumbs, potato or sweet potato bites. Lastly, sprinkle some sugar on top after deep-fried will make it tastes even better.
New opening at Queensbay Mall, Penang, Myung Rang is the Korean brand specialize in making the authentic Korean Corn Dog. The brand offers a variety of Corn Dog flavors in the store, such as Mozzarella Sausage, Cheddar Sausage, Just Mozzarella, Tteokbokki Stick and so on. I ordered Mozzarella Sausage (RM 9.90) during my visit. Due that the foods here are fried upon order, so it took me some time to receive my food.
After it's done, the staff will handle it to you and you may start DIY your own Corn Dog with the sauces located beside the payment counter based on your own preference. For my own liking, I sprinkled some cheese powder and squirt some chili sauces on top. The Corn Dog tastes even tasty, especially for those with cheese, it will be stringy if you enjoy it when still hot. The batter outside is so satisfied too because it's so crispy and crunchy.
