Deliberately go abroad for dinner P1 | Nanyuan Noodle หนานหยวน(南园)@ Sadao, Thailand [GPS]

Pretty much a find in Malaysia as well, Wanton Noodles are a hit in Thailand particularly at this little joint named Nanyuan. More options for the locals and tourists, Nanyuan Noodle has quietly started operating at Sadao, a small town in Thailand, better known as  Danok. The interior is clean, well-spaced and brightly-lit, seemingly a welcoming space. Albeit the staffs are all Thais but there's no barrier to order your foods because the food menu has duo language (Thai and English). Price-wise, I thought it's affordable and wallet-friendly as the main dishes here are priced between 45-65 baht. Worth-checking out if you are in the vicinity.

Egg Noodle with Shrimps Wanton and Crispy Pork

We had the Egg Noodle with Shrimps Wanton and Crispy Pork (50 baht)... it's my favorite dish that makes me keep visiting because it's really superb. The springy noodles served with the crispy yet juicy roasted pork belly; a combination that speaks for itself. One of the different of Wanton Noodles in Thailand and Malaysia is the diner may adjust the taste according to their liking by adding the condiments provided on the table. Such as fish sauce, chili flakes, homemade chili sauce and etc.

Fried Rice with Crab Meat

We ordered Fried Rice with Crab Meat (60 baht) too. The rice is delicately seasoned with the firm texture, every single one of them is enveloped with the delightful egg aroma and sweet, succulent crab meat. Simple yet delicious!

Deep Fried Rolled Crabmeat Chinese Style

Apart from that, there are also some local side dishes provided in the store. Deep Fried Rolled Crabmeat Chinese Style (160 baht), is kinda like the Lobak (Five-Spice Meat Rolls) but it's wrapped in a ball-shaped instead of rolling up to a thin log shape. There are 5 pieces per plate, 32 baht per piece averagely. Albeit it seems slightly pricey for a small piece of this fried crabmeat roll, but it's totally worth the price, as the crabmeat wrapped inside is as much as the ground meat. Dip in the plum sauce will give an extra kick to it.

Black Jelly

If you like to beat the heat in Thailand, you may also try Black Jelly (25 baht) serving here. Shaved ice is served with the black jelly and topped with some brown sugar... you can literally taste the natural sweetness from the brown sugar without any condiments. In addition, the black jelly is so chewy.
