Mykōri Dessert Cafe @ Alor Setar, Kedah [GPS]

Mykōri Dessert Cafe is one of the well-known Japanese dessert stores in Malaysia and it's finally operating in Alor Setar, Kedah on 25 May 2019. It's such a piece of great news for Alor Setarian as there is no any Japanese dessert store in town.  It's located right beside Aman Central Shopping Mall... housed at the lower floor of Samila Business Centre. The interior decor is modern with some basic simple white tables and chairs... a young space it seems.

Mykōri Dessert Cafe is famous for its Instagram-worthy Kakigori and Shibuya Toasts. Kakigori is a Japanese shaved ice dessert topped with flavored syrup and condiments; while Shibuya Toast is the thick honey toast that topped with some fresh fruits and ice-cream. At Mykōri Dessert Cafe, there are more than 15 flavors of attractive Kakigori in store. 

MykōriDessertCafe以其值得Instagram的Kakigori和Shibuya Toasts而闻名。 Kakigori是一种日本刨冰甜点，上面配有调味糖浆和调味品; 而Shibuya Toast是厚厚的蜂蜜吐司，配上一些新鲜水果和冰淇淋。 在Mykōri Dessert Cafe里有超过15种诱人口味的Kakigori。

Honeydew Kakigori (RM24)

Honeydew Kakigori (RM24), the melon is dug into a round as a bowl, a small ball-shaped of honeydew melon spread on the melon milk shaved ice, and later add in some nata de coco and almond flakes. It looks super attractive and delectable as well. Also, the texture of the shaved milk iced is fine and silky smooth. Price-wise, albeit it's slightly pricey but it's big enough to be shared across 2-3 person.

Honeydew Kakigori（RM24），蜜瓜被挖成一个似碗的圆状，一个个小球形的蜜瓜放在牛奶刨冰上，再添加一些nata de coco和杏仁片。 它看起来非常有吸引力和美味。 此外，冰的质地细腻柔滑。 价格方面，虽然它有点贵，但份量很大，可以供2-3人分享。

Pineapple Kakigori

Pineapple Kakigori, free dessert from Mykōri Dessert Cafe for spending RM 30 and above. This dessert is simply straightforward. The plain shaved ice is topped with some pineapple, lychee, nata de coco, and sour plum powder. It's not too bad but I do not prefer the plain shaved ice because it's a little bit tasteless. 

Pineapple Kakigori，是由Mykōri Dessert Cafe免费提供的甜点，只需要消费满RM30以上，就会附送一份。 这甜点简直明了，刨冰上面放着一些菠萝，荔枝，nata de coco和酸梅粉。 虽然不是不好吃，但我不喜欢这无口味的刨冰，因为它有点淡。

Chocolate Strawberry Toast (RM19.50)

For the toast, we ordered the first choice on the menu - Chocolate Strawberry Toast (RM19.50) and topped with the matcha and mint chocolate ice-cream. You can choose any 2 flavours of ice-cream based on your preference from vanilla, dark chocolate, mint chocolate, matcha, Thai tea, and coconut ice-cream. Honestly, the toast is disappointed us, as well as the ice-cream. I thought the toast should be fluffy and moisture inside with the strong fragrance of butter; and slightly crispy outside, just like the Shibuya Toast we ate before. However, the toast serving here is too dry without any butter aroma and the ice-cream has no natural taste of its ingredient too.

至于土司，我们在点了菜单上的第一个选择 - 巧克力草莓吐司（RM19.50），并配上抹茶和薄荷巧克力冰淇淋。 您可以根据自己的喜好选择任何2种口味的冰淇淋，包括香草，黑巧克力，薄荷巧克力，抹茶，泰国茶和椰子冰淇淋。 老实说，吐司让我们挺失望的，还有冰淇淋。 我认为Shibuya Toast的里面应该是蓬松，稍微湿润，并且带有强烈的黄油香味的; 而外面是略带酥脆的，就像我们之前吃过Shibuya Toast一样。 然而，这里的吐司太干，没有任何黄油香味，冰淇淋也没有其成分的天然味道。

Apart from that, Mykōri Dessert Cafe has also selling Croissant Taiyaki. It's a buttery puff pastry fish-shaped cake that usually filled with azuki (red bean paste), chocolate banana, ice-cream or ham & cheese. I would like to try it too but since only 2 of us, so maybe next time. In short, Mykōri Dessert Cafe would be a good place to fix your craving for  Kakigori in Alor Setar, Kedah.

除此之外，Mykōri Dessert Cafe还出售Croissant Taiyaki。 这是一个黄油酥皮的鱼型糕，通常内陷是azuki（红豆沙），巧克力香蕉，冰淇淋或火腿和奶酪的。 我想尝试，但是因为我们只有2个人，所以也许下一次吧！简而言之，Mykōri Dessert Cafe是一个在吉打亚罗士打可以满足你对Kakigori渴望的好地方。
