Sin Hong Kheng is a restaurant that withstood the test of time, it has been running for more than a decade. It's one of the oldest Chinese Zhu Char restaurants in Alor Setar and needs no further introduction. Although the exterior of the restaurant might not be too appealing to some - no fancy, persuasive signage and not fully air-conditioned, but there is a large parking space in front of the restaurant.

Curry Pork Ribs Bread 咖喱面包排骨 is one of a signature dish in Sin Hong Kheng. The curry served in Sin Hong Kheng is thick and the pork ribs are tender and juicy. Bread-wise, it's quite dry and tasteless on its own but it tastes great after dipped in the curry broth.

Soon Hock Fish 笋壳鱼 or also known as Marble goby fish is one of the premium freshwater fish that has a large demand among the Asian countries. This kind of fish is usually fresh and has a very delicate taste as it's raising commercially in the tank or farm. Hence, the price of Soon Hock Fish is quite high.

Signature Bean Curds 招牌豆腐 at Sin Hong Kheng is deep fried with soft crisp at the skin and smooth silky at the centre. For the sauce, it's cooked together with some chilli, shrimps and mushrooms. Although it's slightly spicy but it tastes good. 

新风景的招牌豆腐味道很不错，豆腐经过油炸后，表皮略脆，内里柔嫩。至于酱汁，它是与一些辣椒，虾仔和蘑菇一起烹煮而成的。 虽然有点辣，但味道很好。

Stir Fried Crabs with Special Sauce 怪味螃蟹, we ordered 2 crabs and it costs us RM 80 each, I thought the price is slightly on the high side as the size of the crab is not that bigger but luckily the sauce is not bad and the crabs are quite fresh.

Dong Po Stewed Pork Belly 东坡肉 is a dish that served with a single square of pork belly and slowly braised in the rice wine and dark soy sauce until tender to ensure it can simply melt in the mouth.

东坡肉是用米酒和老抽慢慢炖至嫩，以确保它可以在吃的时候融入口中的五花肉。

Broccoli with Abalone 西兰花鲍鱼, as we received 2 cans of abalone during the Chinese New Year, so we brought it our own to the restaurant and ask the vendor to cook it for us. This dish is simply delectable with the combination of broccoli, abalone and the abalone sauce but I thought that it's slightly expensive as the bill cost us RM 50 nett.

Kerabu Tau Kwa (Firm Tofu) 加拉姆豆干, although Kerabu is the Thailand cuisine but it can frequently be seen in the Chinese Zhu Char menu. This dish is very appetising as the deep-fried firm tofu is very crispy and tastes slightly spicy and sour.

加拉姆豆干，虽然加拉姆是泰国菜，但它可以在煮炒的菜单中经常看到。 这道菜非常开胃，因为豆干非常的脆，还略带辛辣和酸味。
