Ju Heng Tom Yam @ Raja Uda, Penang [GPS]

Tomyam is a hot and sour soup that originated in Thailand. However, in the past decades, it has been popularized around the world. In Raja Uda, Penang, Ju Heng Tomyam is one of the most popular restaurants that selling Tomyam Noodles. The restaurant is fully packed of the people once it starts operating at 6:30pm.

东炎是一种起源于泰国的酸辣汤。然而,在过去的几十年里,它已在全世界普及。北海的裕兴茶餐室,是售卖东炎面最受欢迎的餐厅之一。在下午6:30一开始运营时,人们就很快的挤满了餐厅。




The diners can pick any ingredients they preferred from the ingredients bar that located beside of the cooking stove. After picking up the ingredients, pass it to the staff and tell them your choice of the main. I opted for the instant noodles instead of rice vermicelli, white rice or porridge.

用餐者可以从位于炉灶旁边的食材栏中挑选他们喜欢的任何食材。选完食材后,将其传递给工作人员并告诉他们你选择的主要食材就可以了。我选择了方便面而不是米粉,白米饭或粥。



The reason I love Ju Heng Tomyam is their Tomyam Soup and also their scrumptious fish fillet. The Tomyam broth at Ju Heng is suited to my liking because it has a good balance of spicy and sour taste with the hint of the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal and lime juice.

我喜欢裕兴东炎面是因为他们的东炎汤以及美味的炸鱼片。 我喜欢裕兴东炎汤是因为它符合我的喜好。它辣和酸味均匀,并且带有柠檬草,青柠檬叶,高良姜和酸橙汁的香味。



Taste: 8.0 (1 bad → 10 good)

And for the Deep Fried Fish Fillets, it's definitely a must ingredient in Ju Heng because it's so crispy and crunchy even soaking in the noodles for a few minutes. It's one of the most picked ingredients in the restaurant. It always finished rapidly as soon as it's put on the ingredients bar. You can see the staff there keep frying the fish fillets in front of the restaurant to cater the needs. 

还有裕兴的炸鱼片是必选的材料之一,因为它即使在面条中浸泡几分钟了,也还是会脆脆的。这是餐厅中最受欢迎的食材之一。一旦被放在配料栏上,它总是很快速的就被夹光。你可以看到那里的工作人员一直在餐厅前面现炸鱼片以满足顾客的需求。




Price-wise, I thought that it's quite cheap. The bill only cost me RM 10.00 nett for a big bowl of the Tomyam Noodles with a lot of ingredients as shown in the photo below. Don't be shocked because the portion is really big. The ingredients I picked have:
- 6 pieces of Deep Fried Fish Fillets
- 2 Meatballs
- 1 Cheesy Tofu
- 1 Deep Fried Beancurd Skin Roll
- 1 Quail Egg
- 1 Instant Noodles

价格方面,我认为很便宜。我夹了很多的食材,但我那么一大碗面(如下图所示)只需要10令吉马币。我挑选的食材有:
 -  6片炸鱼片
 -  2个肉丸
 -  1个起司豆腐
 -  1个油炸豆皮卷
 -  1个鹌鹑蛋
 -  1个方便面

In short, Ju Heng Tomyam is highly recommended.

简而言之,我觉得裕兴东炎面值得强烈的推荐。
