Concubine Lane 二奶巷 @ Ipoh [GPS]

Concubine Lane is one of the favourite tourist spots in Ipoh. It is well-known as Yee Lai Hong (二奶巷) in Cantonese, which means the "mistresses' street. It used to be an area where the rich Chinese tycoons and British expats kept their mistresses.


二奶巷是怡保最受欢迎的旅游景点之一。 它以粤语 Yee Lai Hong （二奶巷）而闻名。意思是情妇（二奶）的街道。它曾经是富裕的中国大亨和英国外籍人士收留情妇的地方。

Through these several decades after Malaysia gained independence and the British left, the street faced a lot of revolutions and now finally turned into a popular attraction in Ipoh.

在马来西亚获得独立和英国人离开后的几十年里，这条街发生了很多变化的改革。而现在成为了怡保的最受欢迎的景点之一。

Although the street is not very long, but with a number of hipster cafes, lots of photo stops (murals and such) and area to shops for knick-knacks and souvenirs, it has become an interesting place for sightseeing and exploring nowadays.

虽然这条街不是很长，但是由于它有许多时髦的咖啡馆，拍照的地方（壁画）和小摆设和纪念品的商店区域， 现在它已成为一个有趣的观光和探索的景点。

There are many pop-up stalls gather here everyday especially during the weekend and public holiday. You can find some handcrafted souvenirs, clothes, snacks and desserts here. For example, Tau Fu Fah (soybean curd), colorful ice ball, shaped cotton candy and also the red beans ice.每天都有许多摊位聚集在这里，特别是在周末和公众假期的时候。 你可以在这里看到一些手工制作的纪念品，衣服，小吃和甜点等。 例如，豆腐花，五颜六色的冰球，有各种各样形状的棉花糖, 还有红豆冰。

I personally prefer Ding Feng Teow Chew Tau Fu Fa (頂豐潮州豆腐花) because its taste is suited to my liking, not too sweet and also its portion is much bigger as compared to Funny Mountain's Tau Fu Fah.

我个人更喜欢顶丰潮州豆腐花，因为它的味道更适合我，不会太甜，而且与奇峰豆腐花相比，它的份量更多。

While for the Red Beans Ice, although it might not be the best in town but it's sure a great thirst quenching drink at Concubine Lane, particularly after a hot-weather walk. Most important is the red beans are soft and the drink is not really sweet too.

而对于红豆饼来说，虽然它可能不是城里最好的，但它肯定是在二奶巷里一个很好的解渴饮料，特别是在炎热的天气行走后。 最重要的是红豆很软，饮料也不会很甜。
