Restaurant Thean Chun 天津茶室 @ Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh [GPS]

ツ [EN|中] Restaurant Thean Chun is one of the old and classic restaurants in Ipoh. It can easily be found as it's just located opposite the entrance of the well-famous Concubine Lane. The restaurant is particularly popular with its Caramel Custard a.k.a. Caramel Egg Pudding.

天津茶室是怡保其中一间古老和经典的餐厅之一。它就坐落于闻名的二奶巷入口对面，因此很容易就能找到。天津茶室最出名的就是焦糖布丁了。

The Caramel Custard served in Restaurant Thean Chun tastes so good with the perfect combination of the egg, milk and caramel. The texture of the Caramel Custard is so smooth and full of the aroma of the steamed egg and caramel. It tastes even better when it served chilled. It's very much like the Creme Brulee but Creme Brulee has the glass-like glaze of caramelized sugar on top instead of the caramel sauce.

天津茶室的焦糖布丁非常好吃，因为它融合了份量刚刚好的鸡蛋，牛奶和焦糖。焦糖布丁的口感非常顺滑，并且带有很香的蒸鸡蛋和焦糖的香味。焦糖布丁冰过会更加的好吃。焦糖布丁非常像法式炖蛋，但法式炖蛋的顶部有玻璃状釉的焦糖，而不是焦糖酱。

Besides that, we also ordered Chicken & Prawn Hor Fun. Hor Fun in Ipoh is visually similar with those we saw usually. The Flat White Noodles (Hor Fun) or Kuey Teow will be served in a bowl of chicken soup and topped with some chicken slices. 

除此之外，我们也点了鸡丝河粉。怡保的鸡丝河粉看起来和我们平常所见的果条汤大同小异。既是将粿条放入一碗鸡汤内，然后再加入一些鸡丝。

Nevertheless, it tastes totally different. In Ipoh, the prawn will be added into the broth and also for the topping. Hence, you might find a strong prawn taste in the broth. For me, I do not really prefer it because the "prawn soup" is not my cup of tea.

然而，怡保鸡丝河粉的味道却很不一样因为汤内会加入虾子，所以当你吃的时候会有一股虾的味道。对我而言，我不是很喜欢这味道。
